Supplier system
Let merchants feed their own products into your main store, and take a commission. Comparable to a card-mall model.
Enabling it
- Grant supplier permission in the merchant tier
- The merchant can now create categories and list products from their user centre
- Under Site settings → Other, mark that merchant as "show in main store" so their products appear on your storefront
How you earn
The product commission on the merchant tier sets your cut. Every time one of their products sells, the system deducts that percentage and credits the rest to the merchant's balance.
Merchant-operated stores
Supplying is "their goods sold in your store". The other model is the merchant running their own store:
the merchant binds a subdomain or their own domain and hides main-store products under My store — leaving only their own catalogue, which is effectively a standalone shop.
Setup is covered in sub-stores.
Comparing the two
| Supply to main store | Own sub-store | |
|---|---|---|
| Where products appear | Your main store | Their own domain |
| Permission needed | Supplier | Sub-store (+ supplier to list their own goods) |
| Your revenue | Product commission | Sub-store commission / margin on your products |
| Good for | Broadening your own catalogue | Merchants who want their own brand |
Both can be enabled together; they do not conflict.
User ownership
Users who register on a sub-store belong to that sub-store's owner, and their spending triggers referral commission.
